Only 500 to be sold in the US. The Mini E runs on lithium-ion batteries which can be recharged in only two-and-a-half hours. Quite powerful too. Downside though, the conventional Mini Cooper is a four-seater, but the Mini E is only a two-seater, with the rear seat taken up by batteries. But a small price to pay in a bid to save the environment.
